The Ultimate Kauai Vacation

If your dreams are of a place where nature is as protected as it is breathtaking and where a very private lifestyle of comfort, leisure and good taste flourishes, then Kauai is where you've always wished you could be. As the oldest of Hawaii's islands, Kauai is also one of the most beautiful. Uncrowded and very peaceful, this low key island hideaway is a place where generations of Americans enjoy the perfect blend of splendid isolation and unmatched social and recreational amenities.

You could travel around the world and never see more spectacular beaches than here in Kauai. Wide and welcoming, they stretch for miles. And no matter the season, they never seem crowded. But the ocean is only the beginning. All around you are moody rain forests, majestic cliffs, jagged peaks, emerald valleys, palm trees swaying in the breeze, daily rainbows, spectacular waterfalls, golden sunsets and some of the most spectacular golden beaches you'll find anywhere: It is, indeed, the very best of Island living.

Unlike other Hawaiian Islands like Oahu, Kauai is slow and peaceful, but not boring. There's no pressure. No one hurries. The locals learned long ago that things get done on "island time." The absence of towering hotels and nightlife makes way for endless succession of spectacular beaches, the grandeur of Waimea Canyon (the "grand Canyon of the Pacific"), the drama of the magnificent Na Pali Coast, and the beauty of the quaint historic town of Hanalei. Ancient caves created from lava tubes are easily explored from the main road. There's the Maniniholo Dry Cave, and the wet caves, Waikapala'e and Wakanaloa, said to have been formed by the Fire goddess Pele as she search for an appropriate home-site. If you're looking for nightclubs and bars, you won't find them on Kauai. Instead, the island offers a variety of activities from golfing, fishing and horseback riding to swimming, sailing and kayaking to escape the pressures of everyday life.

Kauai's beauty has been a favorite in Hollywood for years. She has played the starring role in over 40 films. From great films such as South Pacific, Fantasy Island, South Pacific, Jurassic Park to Seven Days and Seven Nights, her beauty is ever present.
