Head to the Golden Gate Park.
As one of the largest man-made parks in the world, was developed over a century
ago on a site consisting mostly of sand dunes. Today, the park's lush landscape
is perfect for any kind of activities ranging from football, running, sailing,
picnics, soccer, baseball, archery, basketball, bicycling, boating, fly fishing,
handball, and so much more. 5.
Drive through the Golden Gate Bridge. This structure quiet possibly the most
famous structure in San Francisco is simply magnificent. Shore to shore, the bridge
extends for a mile and a quarter without ever toughing the ground. Its twin towers
rise 750 feet above water and the views from the bridge is spectacular. Visitors
can walk or ride a bicycle on the bridge and take in stunning views of the Pacific,
the Bay and the City.

Relax in the Japanese Tea Gardens. Located in the Golden Gate Park, it is
an oasis of natural beauty.From the large circular bridge to the teahouse above
the pond, time seems to stop when you enter the old wooden gates.
7. Discover Chinatown.
Once you pass through the large dragon-guarded gateway to Chinatown, you will
discover why this is one of San Francisco's most vibrant neighborhoods. Its crowded
streets are packed with restaurants, shops, bakeries, markets and much more. For
an amazing experience, hit Chinatown in February for the most spectacular Chinese
New Year celebrations in the world. 8.
Shop in Union Square. Bounded by Powell, Post, Geary and Stockton streets,
the place is a paradise for shopper. Home to department stores like Macy's, Neiman
Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany to mention a few, you might feel that you just
died and went straight to shopper's heaven. 9.
Go to Fisherman's Wharf. Bustling with shops, restaurants, museums, markets,
streetperformers and so much more, the Wharf has something for everyone. It is
also the place to catch ferries to Alcatraz, Angel Island and Bay tours. 10.
Escape to North Beach. A sunny, hilly, colorful area lined with cafes, Italian
restaurants and landmarks, North Beach is one of the liveliest San Francisco neighborhoods.
Boutiques line Grant Street, nightclubs and bars can be found along Broadway and
Columbus and restaurants sprout up in every corner. North Beach is within walking
distance to Chinatown, Lombard Street and other San Francisco attractions. The
streets are bustling year round but June brings the North Beach festivals.
