Four
Seasons Hotel 75 14th St NE Atlanta, GA 30309-3679
|
The
Four Seasons is at the center of Midtown, a booming business district and Atlanta's
hippest neighborhood. One block away, the restaurants and bars along Crescent
Avenue bustle at night. The Woodruff Arts Center, Atlanta's pinnacle of fine art,
classical music and theater, is around the corner. Gorgeously appointed
private suites, 24-hour concierge, twice-daily housekeeping, complimentary overnight
shoeshine, an all-marble health spa and an impressive wine list at the bar are
just a few of the perks here. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
| | | | | | Ritz-Carlton
Atlanta 181 Peachtree St NE Atlanta, GA 30303-1705
|
The
25-story high-rise is set deep in downtown Atlanta. It was the neighborhood's
first luxury hotel, and it's still the best. You'll find serious luxury inside--valuable
oil paintings, ornate chandeliers and Persian rugs. If you're here for a nearby
business meeting or to see the downtown attractions and sports venues, it's a
great location. Downtown Atlanta is primarily a business destination, however,
so head north to Midtown or Buckhead for fun once the sun sets.
Marble
bathtubs, down pillows, terry robes, cordless phones--what else do you need? Perhaps
a butler-drawn bath? The hotel offers five of them on its Bath Menu. The menu
features aromatherapy, bath oils, mood music and decadent edibles. It's the Ritz,
so expect a full valet staff, language translation services, golf and tennis opportunities,
on-call notary, technology butler and four types of massages. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
| | | | | | Ritz-Carlton
Buckhead 3434 Peachtree Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30326-1172
|
The
rather basic exterior of the Ritz lacks dramatic impact. Once inside, though,
you'll find lavish drop rugs, cherry wood furniture and chandeliers. The hotel
is within walking distance to most of Buckhead's office buildings and Lenox and
Phipps malls, and it's in close proximity to the highway. Unlike other Ritz-Carltons,
its reputation for quality service is uneven.
The hotel's appointments
include desks with marble tops, goose down pillows and high-quality hotel linens.
High-speed Internet access adds a practical touch. The hotel has 553 rooms with
29 suites, an on-site fitness center, indoor pool, sun deck and large conference
facilities. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
| | | | | | Swissotel
Atlanta 3391 Peachtree Rd NE Atlanta, GA 30326-1083
|
This
sleek, sophisticated 22-story white tower is an appropriate introduction to the
hotel's equally modern interior. Its glass-enclosed lobby showcases tasteful sculptures
and paintings, while the pricey Palm steakhouse and several small boutiques round
out the inside. All this luxury is situated in the heart of Buckhead's business
and shopping district. The Atlanta Financial Center, Capital City Plaza and other
glass towers sit within walking distance. Lenox Square is next door, and Phipps
Plaza is across the street.
The hotel's understated elegance translates
into clean, spacious layouts. Decor is equal parts contemporary Europe and Biedemeier.
The amenities include everything you need and plenty you don't. Among the extras
are valet service, a health and massage center with 24-hour fitness club, an iron
and ironing board in each room, complimentary bathrobes, and a well-stocked mini-bar. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
| | | | | | The
Georgian Terrace Hotel 659 Peachtree St Atlanta, GA 30308
|
The
Terrace is one of Atlanta's original gems. The architecture borrows from the famous
Flatiron style, linking graceful, tapered segments to simple round towers which
form the corners. Inside, a cavernous atrium showers light onto marble surfaces.
On the boundary of Midtown and downtown, directly across from the Fox Theatre,
the Terrace is just a short drive from most of Atlanta's attractions and historic
neighborhoods, but there's not much within walking distance.
Restored in
1997, the hotel looks like it did at the turn of the 20th century, but with welcome
updates. A health club, cardio theater, rooftop pool and Internet connectivity
add a sense of the modern. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
