Regent Beverly Wilshire 9500 Wilshire Blvd
Beverly Hills, CA 90212-2405

Located where Rodeo Drive meets Wilshire Boulevard, this landmark hotel has been tending to well-heeled guests for more than 70 years. Despite hosting royalty and society, the Regent's most notable guest is still the "Pretty Woman"--all hotel scenes in the movie were shot here. (Yes, that means Julia walked on these very grounds.) Tiffany, Bulgari and the rest of Rodeo Drive's ridiculously priced boutiques are just across the street, drawing busloads of tourists from around the world. Regal-looking flags fly from rooftops and a red carpet leads up to the grand entrance. Once inside, ubiquitous staff members scurry across polished marble floors moving luggage and opening doors. From the European antique furnishings to the lush second-floor pool area, everything here screams opulence. There's even a Silver Spur Rolls Royce on hand, in case you need to be dropped off somewhere. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now!

Four Seasons Hotel
300 S Doheny Dr
Los Angeles, CA 90048-3704

With the Four Seasons brand and a Tinseltown location, the guest register here reads like Variety's front page. Formula for its success? Treat showbiz folks, sports celebrities, political power brokers and any paying client like royalty even when they're in gym shoes and sweats. Movers and shakers take afternoon meetings in the Windows Lounge and congregate there at night for drinks, live jazz and celebrity sightings of everyone from Madonna and Guy Ritchie to Gwyneth Paltrow and Morgan Freeman.
Famous custom beds, specially made by Sealy, are packed with 17 pounds of cotton on each side. Available for sale, nearly 300 guests have opted to make their bedrooms a home away from Four Seasons. Other luxuries include Bulgari bath products, free limo service to Rodeo Drive, and a business center equipped with Macs and PCs. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now!

Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel & Spa
1401 South Oak Knoll Avenue
Pasadena, CA 91106

Stone balustrades and manicured gardens may remind you of nearby Huntington Library, and that's no coincidence. Railroad magnate Henry Huntington purchased the hotel in 1910 and turned it into an extension of his own refined estate. In 1987, it was welcomed into the Ritz-Carlton family. Regal flourishes like European oil paintings and plushy armchairs immerse guests in turn-of-the-century riches. Take a turn strolling through the Japanese gardens or sip afternoon tea in the sun-drenched lobby lounge. Historically grounded on 23 rambling acres, this Ritz is a palace of marble and light, catering to guests' every whim. One thing Mr. Huntington neglected to put in was a spa, so the Ritz took care of that. Indulgence abounds with dozens of treatments, including the Champagne facial, a signature service that rejuvenates not with the bubbly, but with a bit of its yeast. Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel
Niguel 1 Ritz Carlton Dr
Dana Point, CA 92629

Touted as the most romantic hotel in the world, the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel sits 150 feet above Dana Point in Laguna Beach, offering spectacular views of the Pacific. Head for the lobby, where you can soak up the concoction of your choice and a dazzling view of the sun setting over the sea. Michael Jackson and Jim Carrey have stayed the night, as have former Presidents Reagan, Nixon, Carter and Ford.
This four-story Mediterranean-style resort boasts several restaurants, a state-of-the-art spa and a Mahogany Room solely for wine tasting. Dining options include Club Grill & Bar, Dining Room, Terrace Restaurant, Library, Ocean Terrace and Dana Pool. There are four tennis courts, two whirlpools, an outdoor heated swimming pool, massage center, full-service fitness center and lawn croquet. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now!

Raffles L'Ermitage Hotel
9291 Burton Way
Beverly Hills, CA 90210-3709

Industry-types taking a meeting, actors promoting their latest project, and touring musicians can be found reclining on the sleek sofas of "The Living Room," L'Ermitage's lobby and official gathering area. Upstairs, hotel guests hide out in spacious rooms sparsely appointed with Asian-inspired platform beds, wood sliding screens and spiky flower arrangements. The real action takes place within private, fully loaded cabanas beside the rooftop pool. Spacious rooms feature 40-inch television screens with Web TV access, CD players, data ports, computer cables, and a personal fax-copier-printer. Bonus amenities include a sophisticated electronic sensor that memorizes the vitals of each room, and will restore--at the touch of a button--such ambient comforts as light settings and room temperature. Business travelers enjoy gratis cell phones that automatically receive forwarded calls from rooms, and custom-printed business cards bearing the guest's name and private phone and fax numbers, which remain the same for return visits. Shutters on the Beach
1 Pico Blvd
Santa Monica, CA 90405-1062

The idea was to replicate the comfort and understated elegance of a 1920s oceanfront resort, without the pretentiousness (hence the lobby's giant, earthy fireplaces and plush slipcover couches). Since opening in 1993, Shutters has proven to be the hotel backbone of what some call the revitalization of Santa Monica. Dozens of first-rate shopping and dining destinations are within walking distance on Main Street and Montana Avenue.
From the shuttered doors to the yellow-striped awnings, the mood here is historic beachside California. White-paneled walls contrast the mahogany furnishings inside, and deck chairs pepper the outdoor lounging areas. A few museum-quality artworks are displayed, the most recognizable of which are beach-themed lithographs by David Hockney and Roy Lichtenstein. Other amenities include full-service spa, fitness center, business center and swimming pool. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now!

The Biltmore
506 S Grand Ave
Los Angeles, CA 90071-2602

Opened in 1923, the Millennium Biltmore is a marble-halled marvel of Spanish-Italianate elegance. Several Academy Awards ceremonies have been held in the hotel, which also served as headquarters for the 1960 Democratic National Convention and 1984 Summer Olympics. Over the years the neighborhood and hotel declined, but restoration during the bicentennial brought the building back to even greater opulence.
The grand lobby staircase leads to a Spanish colonial revival balcony from which the Sistine Chapel-inspired painted ceiling can be more closely scrutinized. Decorative columns twined with sculpted grapes and leaves lend an air of exotic fantasy. Most impressive is the Grand Ballroom, inspired by the ruins of Pompeii.
