the turn of the century, The Alexis Hotel downtown has stood as a symbol of grace,
elegance and hospitality. Today it is listed on the National Registry of Historic
Places and rates four stars in many worldly travel guides. Forty- four of the
hotel's 109 rooms are suites and many feature wood-burning fireplaces, two-person
jetted tubs and luxurious sitting and dining rooms. Whatever you require for a

The Painted Table, for a sumptuous feast. Inquire with the hotel about special

The

tiered chandeliers and a warm fireplace in the main living room area immediately
let guests know this is no ordinary hotel. The bold colors, rich fabrics and eclectic
furnishings extend beyond the lobby into the hotel's 189 graciously appointed
guest rooms. Hotel Monaco is one of three elegant boutique hotels with a Four-Diamond
rating within a six-block area in downtown Seattle. Hotel Monaco, the Alexis Hotel

in boutique hotels for discriminating travelers. Guests enjoy many of the amenities

Vintage Park 1100 Fifth Avenue Seattle, WA 98101
| In
the midst of Seattle's retail and financial districts, this charming boutique
hotel is within walking distance of many downtown Seattle attractions, such as
Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square, the Waterfront Neighborhood and the Washington
State Convention & Trade Center.
Much is made of the omnipresent wine
theme at this boutique-style, downtown property along Hotel Row. Understandably
so: Each room is named after a Washington state winery and guests can indulge
in a complimentary wine tasting every afternoon. But there's more to the hotel's
charm than that. The Vintage Park is housed in a wonderfully refurbished 1920s
apartment block, and outfitted in green and burgundy brocades, with lots of settees
and armchairs. Though there's no pool or fitness room guests have privileges
at the tony Gateway Athletic Club down the street. Also, as with many small, upscale
hotels, staff are hip to upgrading guests whenever possible if the hotel's not
full. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
| | | | | | The
Edgewater Hotel 2411 Alaskan Wy Seattle, WA 98121
| Edgewater's
owners deserve credit for jazzing up what was a fading property. Recent remodels
have created a wood-trimmed, rustic air and added tin plate siding that makes
the building resemble a cannery. Stroll inside, past the mountain-lodge decor
lobby (complete with a huge elk antler chandelier and stylized totem poles), and
you'll find a lounge. With floor-to-ceiling windows and an unimpeded view of Elliott
Bay, the Olympic Mountain range serves as a backdrop. The compact rooms have pine
furniture, fireplaces, flannel fabrics and, on the west side, some of the best
views in Seattle.
You can't fish out the windows of west-facing rooms anymore--as
members of Led Zeppelin and the Beatles did (legendarily) in the '60s. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
| | | | | | Willows
Lodge 14580 NE 145th St Woodinville, WA 98072
| You'll
feel right at home simply upon entering the lobby. Reclaimed timber and a 30-foot-tall
stone fireplace create an ambience of Northwest warmth and hospitality. The spacious
guest rooms also carry an air of natural simplicity and elegance, featuring beautiful
woodwork, walls bathed in warm tones of olive and eggshell, gas fireplaces, luxurious
soaking tubs (with an unobstructed view of the 27-inch TV), even French-pressed
Tully's coffee. If you need to unwind after a day on the town or in the boardroom,
indulge in fresh Northwest cuisine at the Barking Frog, then dip into the outdoor
hydrotherapy tub for a soak under the stars.
Be sure to request a wake-up
call or you may never get out of bed, thanks to lambswool mattress pads, cozy,
down duvets and luxurious, 300-plus thread count Italian linens. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! | | | | | | | Woodmark
Hotel 1200 Carillon Pt. Kirkland, WA 98033, USA
|
The
Woodmark is a relatively new hotel situated on the shores of Lake Washington in
classy, upscale Kirkland. Since it's only 15 minutes or so from downtown Seattle,
you can enjoy relative peace and quiet but still be able to hit the town for a
night out. All of the rooms at the Woodmark offer views of either the lake, the
creek or the marina. If you're in the mood for something spectacular, check out
the Woodmark Suite: 950 square feet of luxury, with two balconies, a fireplace,
wet bar, dining for six and sweeping views of the lake. Although there
are many restaurants nearby in Carrillon Point, you'll find that the hotel's own
eats are excellent. Waters Lakeside Bistro serves up casual fare and drinks and
the Library Bar, accented in white and gold, has high tea in the afternoon and
soft piano music and a light menu in the evening. Save between $20 and $100 on ALL Hotel Bookings Now! |
